The Victron shunt is required for current measurement with analog or digital monitors where the current is normally measured with a small voltage across a shunt. The circuit board with quick coupling that comes standard with the BMV battery monitors can also be mounted on this shunt. A printed circuit board is not supplied with this shunt. The smaller the measurement voltage on the shunt, the smaller the impact on the rest of the system's circuit.
